Czech won a major victory over Sweden in the first semi-final at home 2024 Ice Hockey World Championship — 7:3.
In the first half, the hosts of the tournament came back twice. The decisive period was in the first half of the second period, when the Czechs scored three goals in a row (Dominik Kubkalik scored a double). Radim Rulik’s team finally buried the intrigue in the third period of the game thanks to two goals by Lukas Sedlak.
The Czech Republic has reached the final for only the second time in the last ten World Cups and can win its first victory since 2006.
The second finalist will be determined in the confrontation between Canada and Switzerland. The final and match for 3rd place will take place on Sunday, May 26.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian national team won the 2024 World Cup in Division IB and next year will play in Division IA.
