Seven “golden doubles” for 20 leading championships
In the 2023/2034 season Shakhtar scored another, ninth in its history, “golden double” in Ukraine. Besides the Miners, Only seven clubs can boast of victories in the Cup and Championship in the 2023/2024 season of the 20 leading European championships. At the same time, none of them managed to complete the treble. Let’s talk.
In addition to Ukraine, “golden doubles” took place in six countries. Of the big five, the championship and Cup of their countries were won by Bayer in Germany (for the Pharmacists – the first such achievement in history) and PSG in France (the seventh double for the Parisians).
