The legendary Portuguese striker confirmed his status as the top scorer in the national championship.

The Saudi Arabian football championship has ended. Let’s note that the intrigue in the championship died a long time ago. All places in the top three are determined before the final round.

However, for the main star of the tournament, Cristiano Ronaldo, the last round of the Saudi League was special. Al-Nasr, where the Portuguese plays, defeated the country’s former champion Al-Ittihad with a score of 4:2.

Cristiano himself scored a double in this match, with these goals being the 34th and 35th in the current Saudi League season, which is a record for the season.

Let’s add that the previous achievement belonged to Abderrazak Hamdalli, who set the record while also playing for Al-Nasr. The footballer scored 34 goals in the 2018/19 season.

So, Ronaldo confidently won the title of top scorer this season, beating Serbian Aleksandar Mitrovic by 7 goals. However, the latter’s team, Al-Hilal, won the championship, beating Al-Nasr by 14 points. The teams also have the Cup finals ahead of them, which will take place on May 31.

We remind you that former Ukrainian Artem Dovbik has officially become the top scorer in La Liga.
