The agreement contains an option to buy out the German forward
Tottenham announced on the club’s official website the extension of the forward’s loan RB Leipzig Timo Werner until the end of the 2024/25 season.
The agreement between the clubs stipulates the option to buy out Werner. According to information journalist Fabrizio RomanoSpurs can buy out the forward’s contract for 15-16 million euros.
Werner joined Tottenham in January on a six-month loan. The 28-year-old player played 14 matches for the London club, scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists. The German forward missed the end of the season due to injury.
Tottenham finished the season in fifth place in the Premier League and made it to the Europa League. RB Leipzig finished fourth in the Bundesliga and will play in the Champions League.
