Tsygankov: Perhaps I could already play the last match for Girona, but I don’t know what will happen to my future

The Ukrainian is happy to be in Spain

Midfielder of the national team of Ukraine and Girona Victor Tsygankov commented on information in the press about a possible transfer. The winger also emphasized that all his thoughts are now connected with the upcoming Euro 2024.

“I am now focused on Euro 2024 to do my best. “I don’t want to talk or hear about proposals, because all this arose in the winter, and I wanted to focus on Girona and make history.”

“Now I’m going to play for my country and my goal is to have a great Euro and bring joy to our people who need it. We’ll see later when it’s all over.”

“I’m delighted here. The fans have always shown me great love and encouragement. When I arrived last year, I could already hear how much people love me even though I haven’t done anything on the field yet. I owe a lot to the fans because they behaved perfectly and I felt their support.”

“All players dream big, they want to play in big clubs, in the top league. Since childhood I wanted to play at a high level. Of course, I like that there are big clubs in Europe that pay attention to me. I really don’t know what will happen. Anything is possible in football.”

“Perhaps I could have played my last match for Girona, but I don’t know what will happen to my future. Girona has given me a lot and I am very grateful. Besides, my family is very happy here and I feel very comfortable.”

“If I’m still here in Girona, that’s ideal because I’m very happy and I love what I do. If the future eventually says I have to leave, I want to do it through the main entrance.”

Interest in the Ukrainian was reported from Aston Villa, West Ham and Wolverhampton. The transfer fee is expected to be 28 million euros. The player will decide on his employment after Euro 2024.

In April, information was published that several Bundesliga and Primera clubs were interested in the Ukrainian, among which Barcelona was noted. At the same time, it was specified that Bayern has the opportunity to make the Ukrainian’s current club a more favorable financial offer than its competitors.

Before this, it was reported that Girona offered Victor to re-sign the contract on much better financial terms. At the same time, the Ukrainian legionnaire decided to postpone this issue until the end of the current season.

In the recently completed club season, Tsygankov played 34 matches for the White-Reds, in which he scored eight goals and provided seven assists.

Girona finished third in La Liga with 81 points.
