Athletistic / Football. Former goalkeeper of the USSR national team Anzor Kavazashvili commented on the information about the possible transfer of Baltika goalkeeper Evgeniy Latyshonok to Zenit.
“I’m afraid that Lettyshonok will disappear at Zenit. They won’t put him in the starting lineup right away, and if he enters the field and misses the ball, they will instantly remove him and put a goalkeeper who has “I’ve been playing on the team for a long time. And Lettyshonok, you can’t be on the bench, you need Evgeniy to play in the starting lineup, that will be a big step forward,” Kavazashvili said in Sport Day by Day.
Evgeniy Latyshonok graduated from the Krasnodar academy. It was from there that he moved to Baltika in the summer of 2019. This season, the 25-year-old goalkeeper played 33 matches and conceded 42 goals. It is noteworthy that eight times Latyshonok left his goal intact. The Transfermarkt portal estimates the market value of the Russian goalkeeper at 650 thousand euros.
Baltika were relegated from the RPL at the end of the 2023/2024 season, but reached the Russian Cup superfinal. In the decisive match of the tournament on June 2, Kaliningraders will meet Zenit.
