The agreement is for two years
Barcelona officially announced the appointment Hans-Dieter Flick head coach of the team.
The agreement is for two seasons. Other details of the deal were not disclosed. The German replaced Xavi in his post.
Flick, 59, has been unemployed since his dismissal from the Germany national team in September 2023. Under the leadership of a specialist, the team took only third place in the Nations League group (behind Italy and Hungary). And then for the second time in a row she failed at the World Championships, not making it out of the group.
Previously, the German appeared on a par with Mexican Rafael Marquez and Italian Roberto De Zerbi (ex-coach of Shakhtar). Flick also claimed to return to Bavaria.
This season, Barcelona was left without trophies, alternately leaving the Copa del Rey and the Champions League. In the race for the championship, the Blaugranas lost the title to Real Madrid by Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrey Lunin.
