The head coach of Dynamo Makhachkala, Khasanbi Bidzhiev, admitted in an interview with that he would not yet want to talk about the possible transfer of ex-Spartak Moscow defender Georgy Dzhikia to the Dagestan club.
Dzhikia is 30 years old; he left Spartak at the end of the 2023/24 season. The footballer played 215 matches for the “red and whites” and scored five goals. As a member of the team, Jikia won the Russian Championship, Cup and Super Cup of the country.
— There were rumors about the club’s interest in Georgy Dzhikia, and Shamil Gazizov and Gadzhi Gadzhiev did not deny it. Would you like to see such a player on your roster?
— We can talk about a lot of things hypothetically. I wouldn’t want to talk about this subject. When there are details and something actually happens, then there will be something to discuss. In principle, I know Dzhikiya well, because he already played for me in Nalchik.
— Was the potential already visible at that time?
“We had a large group of talented young people then, and Georgy was among them. In principle, it was clear that a great future awaited him. And that’s what happened,” Bidzhiev told .
Bidzhiev worked as head coach of Spartak Nalchik from 2014 to 2017, as well as from 2021 to 2023. Dzhikia played in a team from the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria in 2014.
Dynamo Makhachkala under the leadership of Bidzhiev took second place at the end of the season in the MELBET First League and reached the WORLD RPL.
