On Monday, Cherchesov was named head coach of the Kazakhstan national team. Previously, this position was held by Magomed Adiev.
— I think Cherchesov will be able to help the Kazakhstan national team achieve results. He can do anything, worked with good teams, accomplished a lot. So there is nothing to add,” Prudnikov told the correspondent.
Cherchesov’s last workplace was the Hungarian Ferencvaros, which he led from December 2021 to July 2023. Under the leadership of a Russian specialist, the club twice won the Hungarian championship and the country’s cup.
