Bayern donate one million euros to flood victims in southern Germany

Bavaria “provided financial aid to those affected by the floods in southern Germany, according to the Munich club’s website.

The aim of the club is to provide rapid assistance to the citizens of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, without unnecessary bureaucratic procedures. Munich leaders will decide exactly how the funds will be used.

“The floods have caused enormous damage and terrible suffering. In such exceptional situations, a special spirit of unity is necessary, as many people on the ground are currently demonstrating. “It is important that Bayern shows solidarity and supports the victims,” said Bayern president Herbert Hainer.

In southern Germany, dozens of settlements were flooded after heavy rains. The floods have caused serious disruptions to transport, the evacuation of people continues and there are deaths.
