Athletistic/Football. The FA is considering a lifetime ban for West Ham midfielder Lucas Paquette over his involvement in betting. According to The Sun, around 60 people bet on the Brazilian footballer’s deliberate actions, including his special receipt of yellow cards on command. The total winnings from these bets amount to £100,000 (€117,000). FA protocol recommends that Paquette be banned from football for life if proven guilty.
We see that one of the bets was only £7 (€8).
Recall that Paqueta was accused of four violations related to his behavior during Premier League matches with Leicester (November 12, 2022), Aston Villa (March 12, 2023), Leeds (May 21, 2023) and “Bournemouth” (August 12, 2023) .
