The club will spend the new season in Serie A
Como decided on the candidacy of the head coach.
Larijani will head Cesc Fabregas, who worked on the coaching staff with Osian Roberts. At the same time, the Spaniard signed a long-term contract.
The famous midfielder played in Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea, Monaco, and ended his playing career in Como. Cesc also represented the Spanish national team, with which he won the 2010 World Cup and twice became the European champion (in 2008 and 2012).
During his career, Fabregas played 739 matches, scoring 125 goals and providing 217 assists. His track record includes more than 10 club trophies, including triumphs in the Europa League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup.
Como advanced to Serie A following the results of the Italian Championship in the second division. Larijani will play in the elite for the first time since the 2002/03 season.
The team won a place in the last round of Serie B. Como drew with Cosenza (1:1) and finished in second place, three points ahead of Venice.
Fabregas is also on the list of Como shareholders. Among them is Fabregas’ former Arsenal teammate Thierry Henry.
