Wrestling promotion and NHL enter into licensing agreement
Famous wrestling promotion World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) And National Hockey League (NHL) entered into the first ever licensing agreement between organizations.
Today WWE unveiled the first officially licensed championship title for the winner Stanley Cup. The belt will have special side plates decorated with the emblem and official insignia of the triumphant team. The design features the Stanley Cup symbol at the center.
Note that this is not the first time that WWE has presented titles for champions of various sports competitions, but in most cases it was a standard belt design with the logo of the wrestling promotion in the center.
The Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers will meet in the Stanley Cup finals. The confrontation will last until four victories of one of the teams. The first match will take place on the night of June 8-9, starting at 3:00 Kyiv time.
