Ukraine lost to Poland in a control match in Warsaw

Sergei Rebrov’s team conceded three goals in the first half, after which they failed to come back

Team Ukraine lost Poland in a control match in Warsaw during preparation for the 2024 European Championship – 1:3.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 11th minute; after a corner kick in the penalty area, Sebastian Valukevich played better than others. Five minutes later, Piotr Zielinski hit the far corner of Georgiy Buschan’s goal from outside the penalty area. The third goal was scored by Taras Romanchuk with a header after a corner kick.

The blue-and-yellows pulled one goal back at the end of the first half, Artem Dovbik dealt with the defender and accurately fired into the bottom corner of the goal. In the second half of the match, the teams created a large number of chances, but the score did not change again.

Earlier, Sergei Rebrov’s team played a draw with the German national team (0:0). Ukraine will hold the final sparring in preparation for the European Championship in Chisinau with Moldova. The fight is scheduled for June 11.

On June 12, the Ukrainian team will move to Wiesbaden, its base city during the continental championship. Wiesbaden is the capital of the federal state of Hesse in western Germany, located next to Mainz and Darmstadt, near Frankfurt.

At the group stage of the 2024 European Championship, the blue-yellows will successively play with the national teams of Romania (June 17), Slovakia (June 21) and Belgium (June 26). The matches will take place in Munich, Dusseldorf and Stuttgart, respectively.
