Rotan’s team won all four matches in Group B
Ukrainian Olympic team played the fourth match in the group stage of the tournament Tournoi Maurice Revello in France. Ruslan Rotan’s team beat Japan U-19 – 2:1.
In the 42nd minute, Kolos midfielder Vladislav Veleten took a well-aimed shot from the line of the penalty area and brought the blue-and-yellows ahead. After the break, the 21-year-old player scored a double.
Towards the end of the meeting, Japan reduced the gap in the score, but the Blue Samurai were not enough to do more. Note that the missed goal from Kento Shiogai was the first for Ukraine at an international tournament in France.
The Ukrainian U-23 team won all four matches in Group B and advanced to the finals of the competition from first place. Earlier in the tournament, Rotan’s team defeated Indonesia U-20 (3:0) and Italy U-21 (4:0), and also defeated Panama U-23 (2:0).
In the final of the Tournoi Maurice Revello, the Ukrainian Olympic team will play against the Ivory Coast U-20 team, which won Group B ahead of France U-20. The decisive match of the tournament will take place on Sunday, June 16. Starts at 19:15 Kyiv time.
