Girona wants to receive at least 40 million euros for the forward

Milan substantively interested in signing a striker Girona by Artem Dovbik. The Rossoneri have been communicating directly with representatives of the Ukrainian national team player for more than a month, reports journalist Igor Tsyganyk.

The possible transfer of Dovbik was also approved by the legendary Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, currently working as a consultant to the Rossoneri leadership on breeding policy. The Swede gave a very good description of Artem. At the moment, the Ukrainian is the main option for the Italian grandee.

Dovbik himself is ready to consider the option of transferring to a club of such a level as Milan. Girona wants to receive at least 40 million euros for the forward and negotiations are currently ongoing between the parties.

Another Serie A club, Napoli, is showing interest in Dovbik. Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea are also keeping an eye on the forward.

Dovbik moved to Girona from SK Dnepr-1 in August last year. The Catalan club paid about seven million euros for the transfer, receiving just over 50% of the rights to the player.

Dovbik’s current contract with Girona runs until 2028. The club is actively working on a new agreement for Artem, in which it intends to stipulate a guaranteed buyout amount for the player in the amount of 100 million.

At the end of the 2023/24 season, Dovbik became the top scorer of Examples. Artem scored 24 goals, scoring a hat-trick against Granada in the last round.

Girona finished third in La Liga and will play in the Champions League for the first time in history. Milan finished second in Serie A.
