Koeman’s team starts at Euro 2024 with a match against Poland on June 16
Netherlands national team held the final sparring before the 2024 European Championships. Ronald Koeman’s team confidently won in Rotterdam Iceland – 4:0.
The home team took the lead midway through the first half through Javi Simons. After the break, Virgil van Dijk increased the advantage of the Dutch team, and towards the end of the meeting Donyell Malen and Wout Weghorst brought the score to defeat. Iceland left the field without scoring goals.
At Euro 2024, the Netherlands national team will play in Group D. Koeman’s team will play against Poland (June 16), France (June 21) and Austria (June 25).
Iceland did not make it to the 2024 European Championship, losing to Ukraine (1:2) in the final qualifying playoffs.
