Luka Modric has finally decided on his future and is staying at Real Madrid. According to OK Diario, the Croatian midfielder will sign a new contract with the club for one season.
Journalists have learned that in order to sign a new contract, Modric agreed to a significant salary cut. The football player will lose 50% of the money. For the season he will earn 5 million after tax.
Remember that last season the 38-year-old footballer was no longer the main player in Carlo Ancelotti’s team. He played 46 matches, mostly as a substitute, in which he scored 2 goals and provided 7 assists.
Real Madrid bought Modric from Tottenham in the summer of 2012 for 30 million euros.
