Kroos completed 101 passes out of 102 in the match against Scotland

The national team midfielder scored an amazing and record-breaking performance Germany Toni Kroos in the opening match of Euro 2024 with Scotland (5:1).

The midfielder completed 102 passes during the match, 101 of which were accurate. Thus, Kroos set a record for pass accuracy for a player with 100+ passes in a Euro match – 99%.

This is not the first record in the reporting meeting. For the first time in the history of the European Championships, a penalty goal, an own goal and a sending off were recorded in one match of the continental championship.

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, having started for the German national team, became the record holder for his national team in the number of matches played at major tournaments. And Julian Nagelsmann broke the record of the Slovenian Srečko Katanec, becoming the youngest coach in the history of the European Championships.

Germany will play Hungary in the second round of the group stage, and Scotland will play Switzerland. Both matches are scheduled for June 19.
