Nedim hit the Italian goal in the 22nd second
Midfielder Albanian national team player Nedim Bajrami scored fastest goal in the history of final tournaments European Championships.
Bajrami has already distinguished himself at 22nd secondse match against Italy in the first round of Euro 2024. The Sassuolo midfielder took advantage of a mistake by the Italian defenders and opened the scoring in the match with a powerful shot.
Nedim broke the record of Russian player Dmitry Kirichenko, who scored a goal in the 67th second of the match against Greece at Euro 2024. In third position is Swede Emil Forsberg’s goal (82nd second) against Poland at Euro 2020.
Beirami played for the Swiss national team at junior and youth levels. In September 2021, he made his debut for the Albanian national team. Since then, the midfielder has played 24 matches for the national team and scored 5 goals.
The match between Italy and Albania is in the first half. Squadra Azzurra lead 2-1 thanks to goals from Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella.
