Head coach Manchester United Erik ten Hag confirmed that he will remain with the team for the next season. The mentor is also negotiating with the club management regarding a new contract.

“The club’s management came to me while I was on holiday in Ibiza. They suddenly showed up on my doorstep and said they wanted to continue with me.”

“We had a good talk with each other, discussed various topics. The conclusion is this: we will continue together, and they will extend my contract. We have yet to come to an agreement on this.”

“They told me that they had actually been in talks with other coaches, but they decided to stay with me. As with any organization, it is wise to measure results. The new owner is new to football and took his time with the decision.”

It was previously reported that the new main shareholder of the Red Devils, Jim Ratcliffe, held a meeting with Thomas Tuchel. The German coach decided to take a break from work and not move to any club this summer. Manchester United management decided to continue working with Ten Hag.

Manchester United finished eighth in the Premier League. The Red Devils ended the season with a 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup, which qualified them for the Europa League.
