Athletistic / Football. Former Russian national team midfielder and now coach of the capital’s Torpedo academy, Igor Denisov, has been suspended from football activities for a year. The Moscow Football Federation (MFF) website reports the sanction imposed on the former footballer.
The reason for the sanctions against Denisov was the “illegal participation” of one of the team’s players in the match against Cosmos in May 2024. For this reason, Torpedo suffered a technical defeat.

Denisov will also have to pay a fine of 15,000 rubles. The technical defeat of the Torpedo remains in effect.
