In Eriksen’s return game to the European Championship, Denmark only drew with Slovenia, conceding a goal at the end
In a game valid for the first round of the European Championship, the Denmark was tied with Slovenia this Sunday, 16. The match marked the return of Eriksen to a game in the competition, after suffering a sudden illness in 2021. To top it off, the number 10 scored his team’s goal, but saw Janza equalize in the final minutes.
The first half didn’t have many emotions for both sides, even with Denmark trying to take control of the game, with a lot of ball possession. Meanwhile, the opponents stayed back waiting for a counterattack to bother them, which did not happen during the period.

Worse than that for the Slovenians, Eriksen even went into the net after receiving a pass from Windfrom the right, and hit hard to win Oblak and open the scoreboard. With the goal in the 16th minute, Sesko he still managed to hit the Danish post before the referee whistled the end of the first half.
After the break, Slovenia decided to attack a little more, as they were losing the match, and started to create opportunities. The draw came with Janza taking advantage of the space at the edge of the area and sending a bomb into the goal, also counting on the deflection of Vestergaardand putting final numbers at the start.
