“Russian flags are not allowed in the fan zones of the European Championship, since the Russian team is not participating in the tournament. Generally speaking, flags and symbols of countries that do not participate in the Euro are prohibited in fan zones. This decision was taken to avoid any provocation among supporters,” the press service said.
Previously, UEFA also banned the bringing of Russian flags into the Ukrainian national team’s matches at Euro 2024.
