The former defender of Shakhtar Donetsk and the Romanian national team commented on the result of the Euro match.

The Ukrainian national team did not want to play football against Romania in the opening match of Euro 2024 and did not do so. This is what the former defender of Shakhtar Donetsk and the Romanian team Razvan Rat said.

The former football player also advised his former teammate Taras Stepanenko to end his career.

“There was a very pleasant atmosphere in the stands – I saw a stadium full of Romanians, almost 50,000 Ukrainians were unheard of.

I will call Stepanenko and tell him to end his career. I was in the box, but not the fans. A few years ago I was in the field. It’s quite unusual to be a fan – it’s completely different emotions and sensations.

Ukraine didn’t play, didn’t seem to care, but everything went well for us. The difference is visible from the beginning to the very end,” FANATIK.ro quoted Rac as saying.

We remind you that the Ukrainian national team was defeated by Romania in the first round of the Euro 2024 group round. In the next match of the tournament, Ukraine will play against the Slovak team.

Earlier, Mircea Lucescu named the person responsible for the defeat of the Ukrainian national team.
