The Georgians made their debut at major tournaments today; they conceded a goal from Mert Muldur in the 25th minute, and after a short period of time they managed to score a historic goal. Mikautadze did it with a touch shot into the near corner from a pass from Giorgi Kochorashvili. There was also a mistake by Turkish goalkeeper Mert Günok.

After the first round the match was a 1:1 draw. Later today, the final match of the first round will take place – two more representatives of Quartet F, Portugal and the Czech Republic, will meet (start at 22:00).

Let us remind you that Georgia made it to the historic continental forum through the playoffs, consistently winning over Luxembourg (2:0) and Greece (0:0, 4:2 on penalties).
