It is nothing new that the Barcelona is experiencing one of the biggest financial crises in its history, but, in any case, the club cannot stop moving in the market. Therefore, even with some restrictions, the Catalans are looking for interesting opportunities in European football. In fact, before the window even opened, Barça would have already made an investment for a striker from the Liverpool.

According to the newspaper ‘Sport’, Barcelona are keeping an eye on Luis Diaz, Colombian from Liverpool, and would have started talks to sign the player. The publication stated that intermediaries from the Catalan club will meet with the striker’s representatives in the United States, as he is focused on competing in the Copa America.

The striker has a contract with Liverpool until June 2027, but Barcelona would be interested in breaking this contract to count on his services. According to an estimate made by the Spanish press, the deal should not take place for less than 75 million euros, around R$439 million at the current price.

Initially, Liverpool would not be willing to negotiate one of their main players, with a view to a possible departure from Salah at the end of the next season. Furthermore, Arne Slotthe English club’s new coach, plans the team’s next steps and seems to count on the presence of the Colombian.
