Coach slams Danni Makkelie’s decision making
Team coach Hungarian Marco Rossi criticized the decisions of the refereeing team led by Danny Makkelie in the match with Germany (0:2) in the second round of the Euro 2024 group stage.
“What the referee did was double standards. From my point of view, Germany would have won anyway, they are stronger than us, but the referee was the worst on the field.”
“Germany did not need the help of a referee, especially against a team like Hungary. When they play against a team like France, we will see whether they will be given such fouls or not.”
“We will do everything to win the next game. Our fans want to see us spitting blood on the field. I don’t ask our guys to win or score goals. I just ask them to give it their best.”
Hungary suffered a second defeat at Euro 2024. In the third round of Quartet A, the Russian team will meet Scotland on June 23.
