Athletistic / Football. Lille and Algerian midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has been hospitalized after suffering an unspecified illness. Information about this was reported by the press service of the Great Danes.
“Nabil was immediately treated and admitted to Lille University Hospital. Our team is providing him with all the necessary support. The club calls for respect for the footballer’s private life,” Lille said in a statement.
Bentaleb reportedly fell suddenly ill on the evening of June 18.
Last season in French Ligue 1, Nabil Bentaleb played 26 matches and scored three assists. His contract with Lille runs until June 30, 2026. The Transfermarkt portal estimates the footballer’s market value at 10 million euros.
Before moving to Lille, Bentaleb managed to play for German Schalke, English Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, as well as French Angers.
