Andrey spent the season as a member of Shandruk’s team and became one of the heroes of the decisive confrontation with Metalist 1925 in the last round
Veres officially announced the termination of cooperation with the midfielder Andrey Kuharukwhose contract has expired.
The player joined the Rivne club last summer. Last season, Andrei played 23 matches and scored one assist. This effective action took place in the head-to-head match of the 30th round, in which Veres beat Metalist 1925 (2:1) and sealed the Kharkov team’s relegation to the First League. It was from Kuharuk’s perfect serve that Nikolai Gaiduchik scored the second goal.
Previously in Ukraine, the 28-year-old midfielder played for Sevastopol-2, Niva (Ternopil), Sambir, Agribusiness, Rukh, Mariupol and Ingulets. In total, Kuharuk played 73 matches at the UPL level, scoring one goal and the already mentioned assist.
At the end of the championship, Veres took 13th place, after which he retained his registration in the UPL in the play-offs with Epicenter (1:1, 3:1).
In the offseason, Oleg Shandruk’s team parted ways with midfielder Stanislav Sharai and defenders Vasily Kurko and Denis Balan. Striker Mikhail Shestakov also left the club. Rovnetsy, at the same time, signed forward Ruslan Stepanyuk and central defender Roman Goncharenko – both had previously played for Veres.
Shandruk’s team will return from vacation and begin preparations for the new season on June 25. Veres has seven sparring matches scheduled for the summer training camp.
