Athletistic/Football. The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) did not prohibit the carrying of Russian flags during the European Championship match between the national teams of Serbia and Slovenia, as reported by the press service of the UEFA to TASS.

“As a general rule, all flags are tolerated except those that are considered provocative, discriminatory or may pose a security risk,” the statement said.

Earlier, before the Slovenia-Serbia match, four Russians were asked to hand over their flags, arguing that the flag did not belong to the national team participating in the match. The fans found a way out of the situation by returning the flags: they were allowed to pass through another entrance, mistaking them for supporters of the Serbian national team.
