Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne said his team deserved victory over the Romanian team in the European Championship group stage match.
The Group E meeting took place in Cologne and ended with a score of 2:0, Youri Tielemans (2) and Kevin De Bruyne (80) scored goals.
— After the first match, I wasn’t worried. I don’t think we played badly per se. Of course we made a few mistakes, but we created chances, even though we could have scored. We played well today and I think we deserved to win. That’s why I’m happy,” De Bruyne told the UEFA website.
In Group E, Romania, Belgium, Ukraine and Slovakia each have three points. In the last round, Belgium will play against Ukraine, Slovakia against Romania. Both matches will take place on June 26.
