Ukraine national team U-16 lost to the youth team Venezuela in the final round of the tournament Dream Cup 2024 – 1:4.
Yuri Moroz’s team finished the competition in last place with three defeats. In the first round, the blue-yellows lost to the hosts of the event, the Japanese national team (0:6). Then the Ukrainians lost to Senegal (0:1). The tournament was won by Japan, which won all three matches.
Dream Cup 2024 took place in Japan at the J-Village arena in Fukuoka. For young Ukrainians, the tournament became part of the preparation for qualifying for the Youth Euro 2025.
In the fall, the Ukrainian national team among players not older than 2008. will play in the first round of Euro 2025 qualifying (U-17). In Belgium, Moroz’s team will play the home team, as well as Kosovo and Kazakhstan. The qualifying mini-tournament will take place from October 9 to October 15.
