The transfer amount will be about four million euros, and the Pole will earn 19 million a year in Riyadh
Al Nasr And Juventus agreed on the transfer of the Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. The Saudi club is expected to pay around 4 million euros for the 34-year-old Pole.
Reportedly, the footballer himself initially doubted the feasibility of this option to continue his career, but nevertheless agreed to sign a two-year contract with Al-Nasr with a salary of about 19 million per year.
The Old Lady agreed to release the experienced goalkeeper, who has already found a potential replacement in Michele Di Gregorio from Monza. Juventus plans to take the 26-year-old Italian on loan for 4 million euros with an obligation to buy for 16 million.
Negotiations between Juve and Al-Nasr have lasted at least since the beginning of June. Initially, it was reported that the Bianconeri were ready to consider selling the Pole, and everything depended on the desire of the goalkeeper. The key issue in the negotiations then became the amount of compensation. According to current information, the transfer could be completed next week.
The 34-year-old goalkeeper has played 35 matches for Juventus this season, in which he conceded 30 goals. The Pole played 15 matches to zero.
In the 2023/24 season, Al-Nasr finished second in the Saudi Arabian Championship. Juventus finished in third place in Serie A.
Szczesny currently represents the Polish national team at Euro 2024. His team had already been eliminated from the tournament after two defeats at the start. In the third round, Kadra will play against France on June 25.
