Rebrov will play with five defenders and two forwards for the first time in the tournament
Became famous starting lineup of the Ukrainian national team for the match of the third round of the group stage European Championship 2024 against Belgium.
Head coach Sergei Rebrov, in comparison with the previous match against Slovakia (2:1), added a fifth defender to the squad (Alexandra Svatka) and second forward (Roman Yaremchuk, the author of the winning goal in the second round). On the left, recovered Vitaly Mykolenko replaced Alexandra Zinchenko. There was also no place for wingers in this scheme – To Mikhail Mudrik (he has damage) and To Andrey Yarmolenko.
As before, Andrei Lunin, Efim Konoplya, Taras Stepanenko and Viktor Tsygankov are not in the squad.
Ukraine (start): Trubin – Tymchik, Zabarny, Svatok, Matvienko, Mikolenko – Shaparenko, Brazhko, Sudakov – Yaremchuk, Dovbik.
Before the final round in Group E there is a unique situation: all four teams have three points after two rounds. It is possible that the teams will remain tied on points even after today’s matches. Belgium ranks second in terms of additional indicators, Ukraine – last. Slovakia and Romania will play in a parallel match.
The meeting between Ukraine and Belgium will take place in Stuttgart at the Arena Stuttgart, starting at 19:00 Kyiv time. Sergei Rebrov’s team will enter the game in a yellow kit.
The match will be commentated by Roberto Morales and Vadim Skichko. The match will be officiated by a team of referees led by Anthony Taylor.
