The Bundesteam defender suffered a hamstring strain in the game against Switzerland (1:1)
Germany defender Antonio Rudiger has recovered from injury and will be able to take part in the match against Denmark in the 1/8 finals of Euro 2024.
Rüdiger suffered a hamstring strain in the third round of the group stage against Switzerland (1:1), but was able to play that match until the final whistle. The 31-year-old defender is an undisputed main player in Julian Nagelsmann’s squad for Euro 2024 – Rüdiger started all three matches of the Bundesteam at the tournament.
The German national team won its Group A – Nagelsmann’s team beat Scotland (5:1) and Hungary (2:0) one after another, after which, thanks to a late goal from Füllkrug, they snatched a draw with Switzerland (1:1).
The match between Germany and Denmark in the 1/8 finals of Euro 2024 will take place today, June 29. The game will be officiated by English referee Michael Oliver, and the starting whistle will sound at 22:00 Kyiv time.
