Chelsea sign Barcelona young striker Marc Guyu

The 18-year-old talent became Mudrik’s teammate, signing a contract until 2029

The young talent made his debut for the first team of the Catalan club in October 2023 against Athletic (1:0) – and less than a minute after entering the field he scored the winning goal. Thus, Marc achieved a unique achievement – he became the youngest debutant goal scorer for Barcelona in the 21st century. At the time of the game, the player’s age was 17 years and 291 days.

In December, Guy opened his account of his goals in the senior Champions League, scoring against Antwerp (2:3). In total, he played seven matches for the Blue Garnets, scoring two goals.

Earlier this off-season, Chelsea signed 17-year-old Palmeiras talent Willian Estevao and 18-year-old Aston Villa striker Omari Kellyman. The London club was also reported to be interested in Leicester midfielder Kiernan Dewsberry-Hall.

Barcelona finished second in La Liga at the end of the 2023/24 season. Chelsea, which includes Ukrainian Mikhail Mudrik, took sixth place in the last season of the Premier League. After this, the team changed its coach – Enzo Maresca was signed instead of Mauricio Pochettino.

The Blues will play in the Conference League qualifiers next season. Maresca’s side kick off their Premier League campaign on August 18 with a home game against Manchester City.
