Forward Boston’s Jayson Tatum agreed with the club on the maximum extension of the contract. The parties will sign a five-year agreement worth $314 million – this is a record contract in history NBA.

The previous record deal dates back to 2023, when Boston signed forward Jaylen Brown to a five-year, $304 million contract.

Jayson Tatum has spent his entire NBA career with Boston; the 26-year-old forward has been with the Celtics since 2017. Last season, Tatum averaged 26.9 points, 4.9 assists, and 8.1 rebounds per game.

Boston won the long-awaited championship last season, which was the first for the Celtics since 2008. In the final series, Boston defeated Dallas in five games (4:1). Svyatoslav Mykhailiuk played for the Celtics last season, becoming the second Ukrainian in history to win the NBA championship title.
