The new agreement with the Spaniard runs until the summer of 2028
Valencia officially announced the extension of the contract with the striker Hugo Duro. The new agreement with the 24-year-old Spaniard runs until June 30, 2028.
Duro joined Valencia on loan from Getafe in August 2021. In the summer of 2022, the Bats bought the forward’s contract for 4 million euros.
In the 2023/24 season, Hugo played 39 matches for Valencia, scored 13 goals and made 4 assists. Let us recall that Duro’s competitor was forward Roman Yaremchuk (4 goals in 29 matches). The Bats did not buy out the Ukrainian and he returned to Bruges.
Valencia finished the season in 9th place in La Liga. In the first round of the new Spanish championship, Ruben Baraja’s team will play Barcelona on August 17.
