Vasily Turyanchik, who stood at the source of the Kiev club’s heyday, died at the age of 87.
March 31, Vasily Yurievich Turyanchik died. The legendary defender and captain of Dynamo Kyiv died at the age of 87. This was reported by the official website of the champions of Ukraine.
It should be noted that Vasily Yuryevich was a student of the Transcarpathian football school, and stood at the source of the prosperity of the capital club. He devoted 11 years of his life to Dynamo, representing the colors of the club from 1959 to 1970.
In the USSR championship, he played 308 matches at the club, in which the hall scored 12 goals. Under him, Dynamo became the USSR champion for the first time and played the first European Cup match in its history.

He has been champion of the USSR four times, including for the first time in team history in 1961, twice owned the country’s Cup, a participant in the first European Cup match Dynamo against Coleraine in 1965- m.
