Dawn played its second friendly match at the pre-season training camp in Slovenia – Yuri Koval’s team lost to the local Slovenian club Beltinians (2:3).
The score was opened already in the 4th minute – the goal was scored by the Luhansk midfielder Ilya Gulko. But by the break the Beltin team turned the match upside down – the Slovenian team scored three times and led 3:1.
In the second half of the match, Zorya was only able to reduce the gap to a minimum – in the 81st minute, forward Alyoun Ndour converted a penalty.
It is worth noting that Zorya’s summer newcomer, 20-year-old Austrian defender Gabriel Esquinha, spent the entire 90 minutes on the field.
Let us recall that the Luhansk team came out of vacation in the last ten days of June and on the 25th went to Slovenia. In this country, Yuri Koval’s team has only 5-6 sparring matches planned.
Zorya plans to return from the Slovenian training camp approximately a week before the start of the new UPL season. The base day of the first round is August 3. In it, the Luhansk team will host Ingulets.
