Ukraine wins fifth judo license for 2024 Olympics

Christina Goman to perform in Paris

Ukraine received another license for Olympics 2024.

25 years old Judoka Kristina Goman won an Olympic license in the over 78 kg weight category. This will be Kristina’s debut performance at the Olympics.

Goman has competed twice at the European Championships, and in 2024 she triumphed at the European Cup stage in Warsaw. The Ukrainian qualified for the Games in Paris after the redistribution of tickets due to the non-admission and refusal of a number of “neutral” athletes.

Five Ukrainian judokas will compete in the 2024 Olympics. Darya Bilodid (57 kg category) is the only representative of Ukraine who has previously taken part in the Olympics. At the Tokyo Games, the Ukrainian won bronze in the weight category up to 48 kilograms.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held in France from July 26 to August 11. The competition will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports.
