The Swiss is a free agent
Inter is considering signing an experienced defender Ricardo Rodriguez.
The Swiss is a free agent after leaving Torino and had one goal and two assists in 37 games in all competitions last season.
Rodriguez is known for his performances for Zurich, Wolfsburg, Milan and PSV. The 31-year-old defender played 120 games (nine goals) for the Swiss national team.
The Nerazzurri continue their search for a centre-back. The Milan club is considering options for leasing an experienced player or filling the position with young players. Also on the club’s shortlist is former Atletico defender Mario Hermoso.
Inter won the Scudetto at the end of the last Serie A season, with Simone Inzaghi’s team finishing first with a 19-point lead over their closest rivals Milan.
Inter will play their first match of the new season on August 18 away against Genoa.
