(ANSA) – ROME, JULY 9 – “A provision that we challenge both in terms of its validity and its timing.” This is how Umberto Calcagno, president of the Italian Footballers’ Association, spoke today at a hearing of the Chamber’s Environment Committee, as part of the examination of the bill to amend the decree of June 29, 2024, n. 89, on the extension of sporting restrictions. “The publication date was June 29,” Calcagno stressed, “the day before the end of the sporting season, when thousands of our partners were already planning for the future and suddenly found themselves busy with another season.”
