Ukrainian gets closer to leaving the club
Attack Bruges Roman Yaremchuk was not included in the club’s list of players to participate in pre-season training camps in Netherlands.
Club Brugge have announced a list of 31 players, but Yaremchuk’s absence from it has further fuelled speculation about the Ukrainian’s possible departure from the club in this transfer window.
Yaremchuk played last season on loan for Valencia, but on July 1, after the end of the season, he returned to Brugge. Trabzonspor has already shown interest in the forward, which was ready to pay 8 million euros for the Ukrainian forward, and to significantly increase Roman’s salary, but the Turkish club’s offer was rejected. Earlier, it was also reported that French Brest and Italian Bologna were interested in Yaremchuk.
Yaremchuk himself would like to continue his performances in Valencia, however, due to the forward’s high salary (4 million euros per season), this option is unrealistic, and Valencia itself is ready to rely on the younger Rafa Mir in the attack.
Yaremchuk has a contract with Brugge until 2026. The Ukrainian spent the past season on loan at Valencia. Roman played 29 matches for the Spanish club, scoring four goals.
Club Brugge will begin the new season on July 20 when they play the Belgian Super Cup against Union Saint-Gillois.
