Furia Roja become first Euro 2024 finalists with triumph over France
National team coach Spain Luis de la Fuente commented on the victory over France (2:1) in the semi-finals of Euro 2024.
“I have to keep faith in this group of players. They always work for the common good. This is just another sign that this is a hungry team. I am proud to lead these players.”
“I know that my players can give much more and become even better, and I am almost sure that this will happen. Our idea of football is based on our self-confidence. We want to use our strengths.”
“Yamal looks like a much more experienced player. I’m glad he’s on our team and I hope we can enjoy him for many years to come.”
“Olmo? I know what he’s capable of. He just needed time to overcome his injury, integrate and regain the pace and rhythm he needs. I’m grateful to Dani for what he brings to the pitch.”
“I’m grateful to have been able to lead 26 geniuses on the field.”
“I am sure that the final will be completely different: against an opponent who will demand our best performance. Although it may seem difficult, we have room to improve our game.”
Spain beat France 2-1 to reach the final of the 2024 European Championship. Luis de la Fuente’s team will face England in the Euro 2024 final on Wednesday.
The final of this Euro will take place on July 14 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. The starting whistle will sound at 22:00 Kyiv time.
