Messi placed his foot well after midfielder Enzo Fernandez’s shot in the 51st minute to help the ball find its way into Canada’s goal for a second time, leaving the 37-year-old Argentinian named the game’s best player.
Note that this is Messi’s first goal at the Copa America 2024. In four matches of the tournament, the Inter Miami striker has scored 2 (1+1) points in the “goal+assist” system.
The opponent of the Argentine national team in the final of the Copa America 2024 will be determined on the night of July 11 during the Uruguay – Colombia match. Note that the Albiceleste is the current winner of the tournament.
