Head coach of the national team France Didier Deschamps commented on the defeat to Spain (1:2) in the semi-final of the championship Europe-2024.
“You have to be as relaxed as possible and score. That’s what we lacked. However, we reached the semi-finals and found a way to score thanks to Kolo Muani. It would have been better if we had been as effective as before.”
“We managed to open the scoring, which was great. But Spain mastered the game better than us. We didn’t play as well, we didn’t play as vertically as I would have liked. We went all the way.”

Spain beat France 2-1 to reach the final of the 2024 European Championship. Luis de la Fuente’s team will face England in the Euro 2024 final on Wednesday.
The final of this Euro will take place on July 14 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. The starting whistle will sound at 22:00 Kyiv time.
