Poliesie announces loan of Brazilian forward Paixao

Wolves will have a buyout option for the player

Polesie announced the loan of the Brazilian forward Paixao.

The player’s contract with the club, Vasco da Gama, is for one season. The contract also includes an option to buy the player out.

For Vasco, Paixao scored seven goals and made two assists in 17 games. The 20-year-old forward was also loaned to America.

Poliesie has already signed Bosnian striker Admir Bristrich and defender Sergey Korniychuk this off-season. The Zhitomir club has also been strengthened by centerback Alexey Avramenko.

Also new to the Zhytomyr club were goalkeeper Yevhen Volynets, midfielders Ruslan Babenko and Oleksiy Gutsulyak, defenders Matej Matic, Joao Vialle and Georgi Maisuradze.

Another newcomer to the team was defender Daniil Beskorovayny, but during the summer training camp the centerback injured his cruciate ligaments.

Polesie is preparing for a historic season, which will begin with a clash with Slovenian Olimpija in the second qualifying round of the Conference League (away on July 25, at home on August 1). Polesie will play its home matches of the European Cups in Gliwice, Poland.

In the first round of the new UPL season, Imad Ashur’s team will play Rukh. The base date is August 3.
