Dnepr-1 has a serious debt to the specialist
Former head coach Dnepr-1 Alexander Kucher gave a comment regarding the progress of the situation regarding the payment of the debt to him for the period of work at the club.
“I read in the press that Fridman promised to pay everyone off, but so far there’s been silence. I recently saw Zhenya Seleznev, he said that the club is going to pay off the debt, but so far these are just words, there are no specifics.”
“How much does the club owe me? A decent amount. Three months’ salary and bonuses for second place and European cups. I submitted an application there, but they haven’t considered it yet, although quite a lot of time has passed.”
“I earned this money honestly and expect to get it back. But the saddest thing in this situation is that the club may fall apart. It’s a shame to lose such teams. People invested money, emotions and souls into them, and now such an unpleasant situation has happened.”
Oleksandr Kucher headed Dnipro-1 from 2022 to 2023. Under his leadership, the Dnipro team took second place in the UPL and played in the Champions League qualification.
Let us recall that in June, Dnipro commercial director Vyacheslav Fridman said that the club was in danger of closing the project. The functionary said that the current funds would not be enough for the entire season. However, according to him, Dnipro-1 is negotiating with potential new sponsors in order to continue its existence.
Honorary President Yuri Bereza said that he is ready to transfer all rights to the club to new investors. The functionary agrees to leave his post if the new owners save the team.
The training camp of Dnipro-1, which was scheduled to start on July 8, did not begin due to a shortage of players.
Dnipro-1, if it survives, will play in the Conference League qualification. In the second round of the selection, the opponent of Yuriy Maksimov’s team will be the Hungarian Puskas Academy.
